Age Eligibility: Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old upon commencing their scholarship in New Zealand. If aged 17, they must celebrate their 18th birthday before the start of the scholarship in semester one. Applicants maximum age limit is 40 years.

Work Experience Criteria: Work experience, whether paid, unpaid, or voluntary, is considered acceptable under the following conditions:

  • One year of full-time work experience (i.e., 30 hours or more per week), OR
  • Two years of part-time work experience are required. (i.e., up to 29 hours per week).

English Language Requirements for Successful Applicants:

  1. IELTS: An overall score of 6.0, with no individual band score less than 5.5.
  2. TOEFL: A minimum score of 80 on the internet-based test, with a writing score of 21.
  3. PTE Academic: A score of 50, with no communication skills score falling below 42.
  4. Cambridge Academic English (Advanced): A minimum score of 169, with no individual bands scoring less than 162.

The Manaaki NZ Scholarship will cover the expenses for the Language Test and coordinate the test arrangements for the applicants from:
